Awards: SIA Architectural Design Award 2017, Honorable Mention
The name Tembusu comes from the evergreen hardwood tree that is native to Singapore and South East Asia. The landscape garden consciously applies an environmentally friendly sustainable design by integrating Singapore’s Active, Beautiful and Clean (ABC) responsible water management program to establish a rainforest environment. Articulated water features capture and retain rainwater through meandering streams with lush green gardens, vegetated swales and rain gardens that conserve, harvest and reuse water. Between and around the buildings, emergent and canopy trees are chosen to emulate a typical rainforest environment.
